August 2010 challenge: “Caught”
Secret Agent Dude Escapes - Not gonna make it.

I'm going to upload something, but it won't be a game. I'd need another couple hours of higher brain capacity than I have for that.
Stinks. I had a good idea...

Birgus Latro - Alright.. It's actually playable

But still not really the game I was hoping for. I think that with some time to add music (maybe in the 1.5 hours left?) and to add more levels, tweak gameplay + rough edges there may actually be some fun hiding in here.
Time to make some musics!

Hextrap - Done. Tagged and bagged.

For those interested in the development process we used, the repo is on github, at
http://github.com/scavpy/Scav-Team-Pyweek-Aug-2010.
Music was composed on musescore by Threads. Sound effects recorded on scav's phone and messed about in kwave (which is shit).
Graphic design in Blender and GIMP by Threads, 90/10 programming split between scav and Threads.
Final boss by J.R.R Tolkein.
No animals were harmed during the making of this game. Except a cat. But not much.

I just uploaded final version of the game.
I'm not going to add anything else, even if my note is full of additional amazing features.
I'm pretty proud of my work so tomorrow I'll just relax looking around and enjoying other entries.
Today I added music and sound, but then I found sounds very annoying so I left only the background loop noise. Then I spent most of the day in fixing a bug (damn trigonometry!) but finally it works.
Hope you'll have fun in playing my game.
Please leave a feedback. I'm very curious to read them.
Cheers!

Mortimer the Lepidopterist - First final submission
Posted by Cosmologicon on 2010/08/28 19:07
I wanted to upload something in the middle of the week, but the game has been in various states of not-working, so I never got around to it. Oh well, there's still time for feedback now. If anyone finds any major bugs that I can fix, I can still upload a revised version. Enjoy!

A Game of Catch - Oh, smeg!

Well, it seems I managed to miss the start of another pyweek. By almost the whole week. Which means I'm having to come up with something REALLY FAST!
It's not going to be the most impressive game ever made, but at least I'll have made a showing.
