PyWeek 31 challenge: “Cops”

Defective: Dick Driver - Story & Afterthoughts

Posted by Jeb on 2021/04/03 23:48

3D game powered by Ursina.

Story

Richard Driver always knew he was destined for greatness.  Having quickly climbed the ranks to Detective in the Shitty City Police Department, Richard thought he could change the world.  Unfortunately for Richard, the city had other plans.  20 years of Detective work for the SCPD took its toll, and it wasn't long before Dick emerged, hardened by the streets.

Until one fateful morning when the Chief came by with a file, "Close this case and you earn your stripes." he said with a grin.

Help Dick fulfill his destiny.

Afterthoughts
What a journey, after 7 days we are finaly here. We have learned a lot, plans have changed multiple times. I think we were able to do good job with this. What u think, share your thoughts down below.

Gnorman's Copse - Final entry uploaded - post bugs or issues running the game here

Posted by Cosmologicon on 2021/04/03 23:39

Download from the entry page: https://pyweek.org/e/unifac31/

I had one issue with uploading a tgz, but switching to zip format worked fine. I think the upload should be working now. I'm still running Python 3.6 so and Pygame 1.9, so if anyone with a more up to date setup wants to test the game, I'd be very appreciative!

Sergant Brown - LaserTag Training - Day 7: I did it!

Posted by Master47 on 2021/04/03 22:01

I am done.  Yeah, mentally and physically, too, hahaha.
It's been very exhausting.

The final version can now be downloaded, and played.

So I wanted to add the possibility for adding highscores to a highscore table, display the highscores, but did not have more time.
But hey, your score is still displayed once you've beaten all five arenas.

The game has sounds and music, too, so that's cool.

Alright, all that remains to say is thanks, köszönöm, danke.

Copcake Caper - Day 7: Copcake Caper

Posted by Chard on 2021/04/03 20:55

It's a truism that there's always one more thing you could do. The last several hours of PyWeek really bring this idea home. You only have to look at the rates people are committing things to their repositories to be sure of that. But all things must and so we are proud to present our entry... COPCAKE CAPER!

Copcake Caper is a bit of a culinary adventure. Two playful raccoons are getting into all kinds of trouble with the law and devise a clever plan to distract the police from their escapades. Featuring:

  • Straightforward, mouse-only gameplay
  • Completely hand drawn storybook art
  • Story mode with "voiced" dialogue
  • Endless mode for additional challenge

Please enjoy.
