Twinerama - Tired and finished!
Posted by pufuwozu on 2008/09/13 19:06
I just wanted to say that our game (the creatively named "Twinerama") is complete! I refuse to type up a big summary about this week because I'm so tired so I'll probably just leave it for tomorrow. Thus I'll leave everyone with some screenshots and a link to the final game to try out:
Thank you
String Defense - Day 7
Posted by jabagawee on 2008/09/13 19:04
Day 7, and I haven't written any code. All I've been doing has been a giant learning exercise via reading Forrest's genius at work. I did screw around a _little_ bit with the graphics, and I could probably write something now that I realize what each line does, but we're basically feature complete and just fixing bugs. D:
Tower Climber - Tower Climber - At the Last Minute
Posted by Akake on 2008/09/13 18:57
I've submitted a little demo of some work I've been doing on platformer systems since I shelved Friba.
----
Left and Right keys - Move
Space Bar - Jump
R key - Reset Game
Escape key - Close Game
It's a little last-minute, but I thought it was kinda fun, and wanted to share it ^_^

Cthulhu32's Pyweek 7 - Officially throwing in the towel
Posted by Cthulhu32 on 2008/09/13 18:10
Hey everyone, so I've reached a point in my game where it has too many bugs to fix, too little content to make it interesting, and I had a good time getting it to where it is currently :) I'll be upping a demo shortly, check out SaveScience 0.005.
It was fun to chat with all the #pyweek irc guys, good to see the community is going strong! Thanks again everyone for giving comments and checking my work out so far.

I accidentally overwrote my own main.py with the one from skellington. Luckily the majority of the game was in other files. Thank you very much powers that be. As if I didn't have enough to worry about.

Roam Unbent, Heartfelt Nightsong - Okay, just a couple of areas left

We have the beginning, we have the ending (kind of), we just have to connect the two. We decided to cut down on a lot of the content, but if there is enough of an interest, there might be post-Pyweek releases and patches.
I guess tomorrow will be for removing unused images, which is a great factor in the absurdly large size of the game (we're up on 100 MB now!).
Here's a screenshot showing the final appearance:
