Metsuri - Pyweek is so much fun it's banned in Norway

I would really like to do a short warmup compo at some point before the actual compo. 24 hours, a weekend... something like that. If you're interested in something like that, drop me a line in the comments or on IRC (nick pekuja).

Fluffy Menace - ADMIN: on late library releases
Posted by richard on 2007/03/09 22:04
If you do have a library you must release it within a reasonable amount of time before the challenge starts so that others may have the opportunity of using the libraryI've previously stated to people who've asked that in my books 1 month is the minimum "reasonable amount of time".
This amount of time is now to be included in the rules to make it absolutely clear. PyWeek is entirely predictable - it runs every 6 months, and is generally announced about 3 months out. That should be plenty of time for library devs to hawk their wares.

Fluffy Menace - "Free" game sprites for YOU to use if you like!
Posted by fydo on 2007/03/09 09:58
Here are a bunch of game sprites that I've made in the past that you're totally allowed to use in the competition.
- my GalaxyMage page
- the Game Art section of my blog (includes assets from the previous Pyweek)
I'm very curious to see how these would be used in a new game. I imagine they would be most useful to a one-man-team entrant.
All I ask for in return is a little bit of credit in your README file. :) Thanks and enjoy!
mmorts - mmorts looking for team members
Posted by Treeform on 2007/03/07 19:04
Any one want to join to make an network strategy game?
I am kinda leaning on making "online risk like board game" engine with different games/mods which contain rules, maps,ai,and sounds. All in a networking package with ability to quickly make or cone other board games similar to risk, supremacy, axes and allies, or conquest of the empire.
On the exact details cant say yet because no theme has been chosen yet. But form bunnies, to wild cards, to terminators, board games can do them all
mmorts is just for fun, i think it is more like an "otg" but it does not matter...
