PyWeek - Six Shootin' Cats - feedback

I *loved* the animation. The game itself was a game of chance with little influence by the user, and in that sense it wasn't the most fun game, but it was a clever application of the theme.

Amazing work on the modeling, very impressive! Neat idea, I just wish there could have been more strategy or variety of gameplay instead of just being completely random.

The style and animations are on point... well almost. It's a bit too dark, and there are some rigging errors (like teeth on the cat stretching after shooting and not blowing ones head off). I think it would also look better with a cartoon shader - cell shading and an ink outline. The music and sounds fit really good.
I feel that if the visuals where something different the game wouldn't be much fun - but as it is, I quite enjoyed it.Too bad I'm terrible at gambling and always load up the gun with 3 bullets at the start - I think we all know how it usually ends.

Pretty morbid game, but i applaud anyone who can pull off 3d stuff in a week. The characters were very lifelike and the animation was clearly done with care. I liked the atmosphere. Super nice intro.

I was unable to do anything but move money on and off the table. Did I miss something regarding controls?
Clearly great looking and well executed game, though!

The graphics / animations were very impressive for a week long game, and I thought the animations gave the game great character. I did not really find the Russian roulette gameplay particularly fun, particularly considering that it seemed to be completely luck.

The character stats do not appear to do anything, and I think it is sub-optimal to take any fewer than the minimum number of bullets, but the graphics are very nice, and the music is well-designed.

The game is quite disturbing really, but the production value is fantastic: 3D models, character artwork and expressions, scenery and animations are all top notch, well done: this has definitely piqued my interest in Panda3D, which I’ve not used before. Creative use of the theme too!

Dark. Literally and figuratively.
The game was relatively enjoyable for a game of chance, due to the animations, character reactions and peril. Really great 3D modelling, some of the best I've ever seen in a PyWeek.
That said, I'm not sure gun suicide is appropriate matter for PyWeek, and this at least deserves a content warning.
It needed to be brighter on my laptop display - I have no gamma setting or anything. The backgrounds are not visible, and neither are the characters on the character select screen.

+1 for the extremely satisfying ending, -1 for the unfunny AIDS joke.
The animations were wonderfully janky, and the character design and bios were funny enough. Great for a game jam game. Buuuuuuuuut... the animations get REAL repetitive after the third or fourth time you see the cat hold the bullet up to his eye. Even just cutting that one bit out of the animation and only playing it 1/10 times or something would be a big improvement.
However, the gameplay is non-existent. Whether or not you get shot is a diceroll; the only thing you have control over is how much you bet, and there's no point in betting anything other than the maximum. The game makes you put each bullet in the gun one by one, but if you put more than what the game wants you to it just kills you every time (this may be a bug?)
So: terrible game, funny joke.

Wow! This has really nice animations. You can really feel the noir setting and silly characters. We need more games with elaborate cinematics.
You've managed to do so much with what is essentially a very simplistic game.

A great looking game and the music really adds to the atmosphere. Great models too. Nice, simple and easy to understand game play... one for the little kids. ;-)

good graphics but not very fun.
other than that, I thought it looked very professional and maybe with some more gameplay elements in it, it would be really good.

This game looked amazing. I also really liked the instructions: "To resize the window, resize the window.".
But although it looked great, it did get repetitive and tiresome quite quickly.

While the graphics are very impressive for only a week, I found the game not all that fun. The playable element is essentially just an RNG. There's no challenge, no puzzle, no strategy beyond simple probability.
Funny how you can just put all six bullets in. :) The graphics and sounds are great! I admit that I'm not a fan of pure luck games, but I enjoyed the game anyway for the visuals and animations.
