PyWeek - Six Days till Dawn - feedback
Good use of theme. A nice looking game.
Really well put together, i played for about 10 minutes before i got mobbed by 10 dudes and died. Didn't like to click for attacking, would have liked a button instead especially on a laptop. I think you've created one dimensional Don't Starve.
Pretty fun and a good challenge level. The controls are a little complicated, and the gameplay area is so tiny, you could have made the window larger and put the controls and recipes in a side panel. But it wasn't too bad once I got used to them. The parallaxing background is a nice touch.
nice little game
most of the time I spent drinking and eating ;)
Collecting water is thirsty work!
I enjoyed how complete a game this was. It forced me to explore the different biomes, collect resources while balancing how much time I spent on each, and gradually build an advantage.
I love the sun going down and the precipitation and parallax, although character and monster art seems unfinished (the boat looks suspiciously like a person walking on water), and you're looking at this much more.
Reminds me of playing Flash games on Newgrounds in the mid-2000s. This probably would have been a hit if it had came out back then. :P
I wish there was more gameplay to it; once you have the boat, there's no tangible goal to work towards, you're just running out the clock.
Good enjoyable game with good balance. A bit on the easy side but that's fine.
I liked the graphics: seemed a bit like a 1D minecraft, interesting concept.
I like the walking animation. I found that just keeping my finger on "S" to gather stuff was the best strategy as I just kept wondering around the different screens. Nice job!
This game is fun! I beat the game after dying of thirst the first two times, but it was enjoyable to try to figure out the optimal strategy. The combat integrates well with the resource management mechanics, and there is a nice mini-puzzle of figuring out how to get water near the start of the game. It would be nice to make the tutorial skippable, and I think the armour ought to be a bit weaker, but overall it's very good.
Cool. At first I was a bit annoyed that it almost seemed to take longer to collect water then it replenished, but after rushing to upgrade my tools the game became a breeze. I really liked the parallax scrolling and the way you traverse to different biomes.
I wish the ending was a bit better and there were more and stronger enemies to battle and more items to craft.
I enjoyed playing this game, it felt pretty complete and was balanced enough so that I tended to die early on my first run through, but could complete the game after a few tries.
I really liked this game beacuse of the idea and it was fun too. it reminded me of a game called minecraft. The visuals were nice but there was occasional flickering when going to a different place. the monsters were really annoying. i didnt like those things
Animations and Music were awesome, you seem to do pretty well with that. The game didn't really hook me in and it didn't seem all that fun to play to me. I really appreciate seeing a Tutorial at the beginning, as it saved me a lot of frustration. Graphics could've been better, but I didn't bump down your score for that because the game as a whole seems very polished. Great job, I look forward to seeing what you come up with next!
This was a simple, but effective survival game. It was easy to end up forgetting to drink or eat. The enemies kept getting me.
Neat, this is a streamlined survival game. The tutorial would be better showing than telling me; it took me some time to get used to the game. I enjoyed the animations and music, and I had fun overall!
