Very good production. Unfortunately, I preferred the gameplay of the original. It was much more dynamic. This one has me mostly just looking at the minimap (it was clearer than the game screen itself) and following the arrows. It got a little bit more interesting as the game progressed, but not a whole lot.

cool concept. loved the various butterflies, especially the green ones. controls can be simplified using maybe numpad or more keys for diagonal jumping. good potential.

A great little game! Interesting puzzles, nicely implemented. Well done.

A super cool prequel to Mortimer! This was really top notch: I really liked the cutscenes and development of the whole story, how it tied into the game play. The base game mechanics were very clever and fun too: the flow of introducing new elements to the puzzle solve kept it fresh and challenging, but making me want to keep going through to the end! Awesome!

Really well done! The cut scenes had some funny dialog and fit well with the game. The movement within puzzles was interesting and I like how you had a bit of a delay (but not too much) to figure out where to go next. Finally, the special effects were really neat.
Thanks also for making a smaller screen option. --fullscreen didn't work for me (screen contents were clipped) but setting it to --small made it playable.

Looks and sounds very impressive. I wasn't quite sure what I was trying to do
This is really a fantastic game. I remember Mortimer the Lepidopterist, that was such a fun game. I'm glad that we ended up with the right theme for you to make a prequel. :)
The puzzle mechanics are great. All the different types of butterflies are really cool and give rise to interesting puzzle dynamics. I'm impressed at how you designed all those levels in such a short amount of time. Maybe the only thing that I would change would be to remove the drop timer, as sometimes I want to stop and think. The exploring mechanic is brilliant. The player would otherwise be overwhelmed at later levels with the number of possibilities. This allowed me to learn the level step-by-step through a fun discovery process.
The difficulty is very nicely balanced. I played through the game without getting particularly stuck but also felt challenged. I have only comments on two levels: my mind wasn't wired to move diagonally from the start so I got stuck for a bit in the first pink butterfly level, and the last level, while a good change of pace, was a bit frustrating with all the dead ends (but I really liked the idea of climbing all the way high, maybe it could have been done differently). All the other levels are a lot of fun, especially Nexus Point.
This is very well polished. All the visuals and effects are great and fit very nicely together. The story and the main map definitely add flavor to the game.
I'm always impressed by your games, but this is top notch. Excellent work!
