I'd feel very annoyed to fall in love with an idea for a theme that does not get chosen.

yeah that happens to me too but it tends to fade pretty quickly once the competition begins. looking back at some of the game ideas i loved so dearly and abandoned during previous pyweeks... i wonder what the heck i was thinking.
