From Ants to Fuses

Well... the Odysseus game was NOT going well, and the way I had it planned it would take every bit of the week to finish, and the kind of stuff I'd have to do is really, really, really boring... I also have a team entry going that I really want to help start dev-ing so you can imagine that I'd want to do something that won't take up so much time.

So I'm making another platformer, using all the old important stuff from Odysseus, and making it a more arcadey type of game. The combat and graphics style is like the awesome ol' arcade game, Dig Dug. (Screenie below)

As you can see, the game already looks prettier than the old game, and I only started drawing and coding last night. Yeeeah, this is gonna go a bit faster :-) I pasted the storyline below:
And for you people that were hoping for Odysseus, hopefully I'll pick it back up sometime after pyweek.

Cheers!

Cool idea, strings as fuses. I think it fits very well with the "length" part. :)

Also, you work fast.
Nice graphics. And as Tee said: You work really fast!
Yeah, you seem more inspired with this one. Congratz on getting your idea sorted out.
Looking very nice, pymike. Best of luck finishing this quickly (because we could really use more of your help, haha!).
