Remembered me of the aliens example of pygame, Just a endless version of it. Worked fine, except that sometimes it felt like it would run slower and than faster again. Not sure what was going on. Maybe its how the movement is calculated (depending on time? maybe dt).

Simple game but I like the style. Destroying UFOs with giant bullets is fun.

I like the graphics, sound and music. The game is Space Invaders, though it lacks several elements that add a little extra to Space Invaders - the enemies dropping bombs, or the UFO flying past.
This game feels like you are exploring the technical aspects of making a game, and I think you've achieved that. The next thing you need to work on is designing a game that you would want to play, one that challenges and delights the player.

I guess this was pretty much like a space-invaders clone, but it felt fun and I thought the graphics and music loop were cool, so the experience felt fun. Gameplay difficulty was tuned pretty well for my reflexes, although perhaps there could have been a bit of a gradual ramp in difficulty to keep the game interesting after about 100 points or so.

Innovation:
The theme is there, not the way I like. Could be better if there were upgrades for the ship.
Production:
The art is fine, but the explosions sounds were annoying.
It's just space invaders with lower difficulty and no end.
