classic tower defense game. Not sure what the difference between the colors where.

when I tried to play the game it gave me this error:
tower_white_1 = pygame.image.load('./assets/tiles/tower/'
pygame.error: Couldn't open ./assets/tiles/tower/wR_magenta.bmp
and when I went to credits, the game lagged and ended up showing a game over message.

I didn't know exactly what I was doing (e.g. which towers were better than others) but it was pretty fun to play a few waves!

Straightforward tile-based tower defense game. No animation unless you count the red line denoting "tower is shooting at a bad guy". Four tower types which cost the same and I have no idea what the difference is. Different enemies and I have no idea what distinguishes one from another. So, I wasn't sure what I was doing or why, so it was kinda bland. But it works! It's totally playable!

Basic tower defence with a novel colour system.
I think the problem here was missing instructions. The README contained installation instructions but no gameplay help.
So I had to guess how the turret system worked, and I think the effect of the colours is not clear enough for me to know for sure.
As a Tower Defense game, it is pretty basic. It needs sound and nice graphical effects for proper carnage.

Make you entrie platform agnostic meaning handle your path system programmatically instead of hard coding it.

I started a new game and placed my towers, but nothing happens after that? How do I get this game to play?

A good start but it definitely could use some balancing. It was really cheap to entirely cover the path with towers and then there was nothing left for me to do.

Congratulations for successfully producing a tower defence game. That said, I can't rank you highly for innovation as it wasn't a particularly unique take on either the theme or the genre.
There is no clear distinction between the different types of towers. The game also doesn't appear to be particularly well-balanced; I could just keep buliding towers along the route while sending the waves down without ever having to worry about resources.

Cool recreation of a classic. Perhaps have sound next time..?
Also, it was perhaps a bit too easy to beat and it'd make the game more varied if the levels were changed more regularly.

I wasn't able to understand much of it besides being a generic TD game... I coudn't figure out what the difference was between the different tower colors, or any specific strategies for different monsters, if any. Given that towers fire one square and the entry path is completely linear, there's not much more strategy than paving the sides of the path with towers (and from what I saw there's plenty of money to do that.

Even with little time you managed to put together a game. It's not really challenging, but balancing a game needs time and if you only have little of that, it's obviously lacking here and there.
All in all it's a solid TD mini game.

I'm on Linux Mint. I installed the dependencies and tried to get it working.
I was able to place towers but nothing happened after that.
Looks like a well-constructed game but sadly didn't work on my platform.
Tower defence. I like this! But wave 1-3 was very, very hard.
Fun to play :).
