It's really cool that you got this to run in the browser! The gameplay is indeed pretty simple and it felt like I wasn't really getting any better with practice. The way the friends go spiraling off is funny.

You get the sense of a very strong current running but the game feels chaotic with the player input not being particularly consequential. There are many directions you could go to make a more engaging game - a tiny one would be to have loot collection + static "friends" (jellyfish?) and flip to a phase of avoiding storms of flying "friends". Make the sub take damage to add threat, instead of a timer.

I know it's a game similar to flappy bird, but I'm scoring a bit higher on innovation for the use of PyScript and doing things all in the browser without and engine etc. that is really cool to see, and has piqued my interest in pyscript, so I will definitely go check that out!
In terms of gameplay, I found that the game starts off a bit slow, but then suddenly shoots into a crazy high speed that I can't even really tell what is going on, so maybe ther could be a left/right arrow to increase/decrease speed? Thanks for the experience, and thanks showing me something different!

- suggest adding requirements.txt to your src code zip
- web version from README did not work (404)
- trying to install pyscript and run_game did not work, nor did the http.server instructions from the README
* the AI banner you selected looks like a real phone game :)
* I think its great you involved your children in testing!

Cool stuff, worked fine in my browser. Scored 549 points, not sure if that's good or bad haha
Per your advice, I tried not to get too fed up by the AI-generated bits :D

It was certainly unique seeing emojis as obstacles. Using the browser does bring a good amount of cross-platform compatibility. One issue would be though that some of the sprites didn't correctly load (could be a problem related to some font.) Overall it was a fun experience. The music did feel a bit much though.

I thought it was pretty fun. I came back to play multiple times. It actually ran best on mobile, for me. There was a lot of lag playing in Firefox on Windows 10. It ran smoothly in Chrome, but some of the emojis didn't load. Firefox on Android was just right.
I think using emojis for most of the graphics was a clever idea and it works really well for something simple like this.

I played your game on the browser which I thought was very convenient. I thought that the gameplay was pretty normal. But, the gif playing in the background and the music were pretty funny.
nice little high score game.
