PyWeek - E - feedback

Seeing the world grow and populate was so much fun! The cutscenes are wonderful. I especially like how you take the whole planet with you when you go! The fishing seemed pretty luck-based: I didn't feel like I was getting any better at it over time. And if there was a strategy (beyond just building the next structure in some random place), I didn't pick up on it. But I still had a good time!

First off, fantastic production. The graphics are incredibly charming and it just looks great both visually and in terms of audio. The idea of being stranded on a planet and fishing for resources is great. I really like how you see the planet grow. Games like these are why I'm always impressed at what people can make in Pyweeks. Although the gameplay is fun, it does get a bit grindy, especially later when it gets harder and harder to fish for asteroids, and you're spending most of your time waiting for the right moment for an asteroid to appear. I can easily see that there was a lot of effort in all the different objects and visuals, but I feel like the gameplay remains the same throughout the entire game, to the point that I personally didn't feel motivated enough to finish (to be fair, I wanted to have time to play other Pyweek games). Some variety would be cool, for example, I feel like there was opportunity for more interesting decisions on what to build. Anyway, all that said, this is a fantastic game.

Happy dance. Hahaha! :) What's not to like about this fantastically happy game? Lol at smiley space goat's photo bomb. I laughed until it hurt. Bravo. Thanks for the super entry.
(The only thing I missed was that I fished for asteroids for a long time until I understood I was supposed to click the spinning donuts to use the points. A hint or nudge would have saved me all that time. The clank of catching an asteroid was very satisfying, but did not quite make up for it. After such a long time the dummy could use some help. :))

Graphics look amazing and the music and sound design are super cool. Obbo looks so cute! I really liked the double use of the theme, well done! I found it a bit hard to catch the asteroids sometimes, felt a bit random as to whether you got one or not, but perhaps this is just like real fishing anyway :)

This game is unbelievably polished for a game-jam game, and I dont know, how you got those amazing graphics, animations and movement working in that short amount of time.
I woulld have made the asteroids fly by a bit slower, so the game is a bit more based on skill than luck.
Great job tho, to all the devs and artists
Cheers, Lars

Really cool game which blow my mind when I know it has been made in only 7 days

Your entry has a lot of polish, but I'm afraid I found the basic gameplay, the fishing, to be too frustrating and didn't really make much progress with it :(

This was an epic game. The gameplay was very fun although it was pretty confusing at first. The 3d was amazing. The game made my fan run though and sometimes the mouse wouldn't work (I am using a mac). Overall, this was a great game. Also, I'm pretty sure that was a goat at the end lol

I loved the game, I was really impressed by how good you made it look even though in Python and proved to me that Python can be used for 3D Games.

Extremely high production values, love the cuteness and the general concept
Excellent production, but the gameplay is way too simplistic too not grow old realy fast, and it be great if it had much control.
