Fun premise but it goes nowhere.

A fishing game! Very simple.

nice exercise, no sounds nor music.

Did not work

I don't know how to drag the fish closer to me...
It just swims away every time ;-;

I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but the game is just press right & win, then press enter to play again?

Ah, finally, another game that involves "casting" a fishing line. :) Congrats on your first PyWeek entry!

The gameplay is the biggest issue with this entry, lacking depth. Many times I spawned with three strong fish and just couldn't retract the line no matter how long I held Right. As-is it seemed a bit more like a random number generator; just hold right and I'd either win or lose? If there were a way to release the fish, and some visible (or audible) sense of how close the line was to snapping, then there would be some more satisfying gameplay to it. Perhaps also have a limited number of spare lines and some control of how much power you're exercising when reeling in (which would increase the risk of the line snapping, but reel it in faster).

Some nice sound and music would have bumped up the Production rating of this game.

A simple fishing game.

I guess this was a pretty relaxing experience: you could do with a bit of sound or background music perhaps to add to the mood and experience of fishing (or maybe the sounds of the ocean in the background). The game loop was a bit short and I didn't really understand if there was actually any strategy to catching difficult fish. The graphics were nice and clean and felt like the game was complete.

Good start.

It's quite hard to actually catch a fish as they either directly hook on and draw out of the window or the line tears. Also some music and sound effects would have helped.

It's really hard to catch a fish, had to try rather often to actually catch one.

Still, for only a single day of work, this is a good product overall, that's missing some fine tuning.

I wasn't able to discern any way to play this game without either letting the fish escape or having the line break. Maybe there's a trick to it, but I couldn't work it out in the short time I tried.

I do like the fishing game idea though, so points for concept!
