PyWeek - Gaming32 - feedback

Interesting game, but I didn't really get where the evil twins were, I was just shooting floating boxes. Neat game though.

Not sure where the theme was. But it worked as a shooter. But there was no sound nor music.

Thanks for your time.

The 3d movement and jumping mechanics feel well done, which is great. There's just not much gameplay variety yet. I like the neon color scheme. Maybe incorporating the colors somehow into the mechanics would work well. Seems like a good start!

Cool game: I really liked the psychedelic colours :) well done on going 3D, not many FPS in pyweek, so that is cool. I didn't really get how this was linked to the theme, but no big probs. I feel like the game could have done with a bit of sound and music. I liked the arena you had going, and it would be cool to see you build on this to include more detailed enemy models and textures, that sort of thing! Good job!

Doing the game in 3D must have been interesting. . .

The game was short, and a decent if very basic proof-of-concept. I liked the rich colors and the almost ramp up to a second floor. But it seems you never got to implement the concept at least far enough for the Pyweek theme.

The addition of sound effects would have made it much better. It almost always brings the game alive, and is a most easy improvement in pygame.

Time permitting... Some kinda backstory/story, music, models and textures, smarter baddies (the hard part) and a variety of rooms and puzzles. This was really a huge project for a solo pyweek. Would like to see what you do with it when you take more time.

I don't see the relation with the theme.
Nice fps game, it needs sound, a gun model, it needs the feeling that you are shooting.

Really cool graphics! 3d games are cool. I beat the game but I just clicked the cubes in the air so it wasn't very fun. I am also not sure where the twins are.

Not sure how much it related to the theme, but it was definitely a fun game to play. The graphics were a bit plain even though they did fit the mathsy and psychedelic vibe you were going for. Sound didn't seem to work. It would have been more interesting if there were more game mechanics other than the basic point-and-shoot. Perhaps launch pads, powerups etc? Overall I was impressed by the game, especially since this was an individual entry.

It was not clear to me that the flying cuboids were the enemies. It took me a while to figure out, I was expecting an evil twin on the ground.

I think it's a great start but it is still very rough.
Adding a shoot sfx/animation would have really upped it for me.

I liked the bright colors, and I think it's really amazing you basically wrote a 3d renderer in pyweek (and the code looks amazing to boot!), but clicking on waves of floating cubes is not very fun. Especially when there's a number on screen taunting me with so many of them I still need to click click click click click click.

extremely cool game, would love to see pvp, if you are willing to continue further development on this game.
