PyWeek - The Two Within You - feedback

I like this concept of losing oneself to one's evil side but I feel it could have been refined further.
The game also lacked player feedback for me to be truly enjoyable (sfx, animation)

Neat idea, and it makes for a good challenge! The random tiebreaker made the last level a bit tedious; I got unlucky my first 4 times and had to restart. Often I would take two steps in a direction when I was trying to take one, but fortunately the levels were short enough that it wasn't too frustrating.

This is a really cool puzzle concept, it's interesting how you need to use the evil twin to get through walls. The only thing that got in the way a bit was that I could not predict the evil twin's movement, and it seemed random at times when there are multiple choices. It would be nice to see their intended path, or have a fixed tie-breaking rule. Anyway, great game!

Very fun game, the mechanic of guessing the evil twin's movements based on your ending position is pretty tricky!

This was cool: I liked the concept, it took me a few goes to understand that some puzzles need a certain “parity” to get it right, but I finished the game eventually. Good choice of music and I liked the cute artwork.

Fun little game. I like the element of trying to predict where the evil twin will take you. The music loop and graphics keep the mood light and fairly neutral - except for that scowling evil twin, haha. Nice artwork.
I managed to exploit what I think is a bug. If you press two keys simultaneously to try and move diagonally, you can get a negative move count (-1) and sometimes it will let you move indefinitely without the evil twin taking control. If not for this exploit I don't know if I would have solved the level because the evil twin kept landing me in the middle of nine blocked squares and there was no way to exhaust the move counter after that.
Welcome to Pyweek. :)

I really liked the concept, and playing the levels was simultaneously fun and frustrating. It would have been nice if you could see the Evil Twin's potential path as you were making your moves, since some levels were only completable if the Evil Twin chose a specific one of the two possible squares it could have ended up on. The UI and art could have been improved on quite a bit, but considering this is an individual entry I'm overall very impressed. Also a level selection menu would have been nice, e.g. if I want to skip a hard level for now and come back later without having to go through all the intermediate levels first.

crats for making the game, interesting mechanics with evil one cheating. I found the game bit repetitive.
Well done. Nice levels.
Thanks for your time.
