Interesting story and characters. Liked that there were difficult endings, pretty basic gameplay. Music in level 1 only. Hard to see bullets

Nice game and neat story. It was fun to try to get the good ending by not touching anyone.

Congratulations to have built something in a week!

Aiming with the mouse but shooting with the space bar is cumbersome.

Could not win with the good ending.

Did not work

pygame screem was too big for my computer. Couldn't get past the text tutorial.

The only thing id change is that the button the start the game was hidden by the screen size.

Fun game to play, and the shadow consuming the player was a little innovative (but also seen elsewhere, e.g. prince of persia). The game wasn't very balanced and the bullets were hard to see, making it difficult to get the Good Ending. The music didn't play after the first level.

Uncovering a novel face of the mental anguish originating with extinguishing another life, has created a game, that is nothing short of heart-wrenching, sure to tug on many heartstrings. This feeling I am describing can be understood by all life on our planet. But what separates humanity from other forms of life is exactly the extent of this understanding.

As I struggled to escape the terrible fate that would eventually engulf Kairos in the everlasting night, shadow corruption, something even more sinister and cruel lingered in the back of my mind. That's right, Kairos killed unconditionally. Killing all the people mixed in the batter: People with families, college graduates, old people. And all that would vanish in a single press of a button. And, when Kairos finally conquered the shadow people, his guilt compelled to turn himself in. This was labeled as the neutral ending, and naturally I assumed there would be a "good ending", if I avoided killing any innocents.

This turned out to be impossible. Yet, worse was that these policemen were labeled as enemies. Even if you don't want to, you have to kill them. I checked the source code, and indeed, there was no other ending.

Leibniz has said that the world is for the best because it has been determined to be the best world. However, somehow "Shadowback Trail of the Curse" makes me doubt this claim. Now, I have realized this tragic truth, shrouded within the darkest shadow, engulfed in a night without stars.

This is team Smoktwix's second pyweek entry and I can only say: this game is quite good you see. Not only have they programmed this groundbreaking emotional rollercoaster in just one week, they have produced all the art and I will assume the music is your original creation as well.

This is one of the greatest games I have played and I hope to see this team next time.

honestly, I fail to find any redeeming qualities other than the movement feels somewhat smooth.
