PyWeek - Red Planters - feedback

The game looks really really great in general the UI animations art and all that stuff but it lacks something that is more important than any of this things well you guys overkilled meetings just for a python game jam yeah we can see the game is high quality but as i said it lacks something that none of these good stuff matters if a game lacks it and it's fun
the game doesn't have any fun doesn't have any challenge and i think all of these meetings were pointless because you guys didn't even think about how to make the game actually fun with all of those meetings also I don't remember the name of the game but it's a exact copy of another game which I have forgot the name

Great game! It's a fun concept and very well polished. I would have liked some visual indication of when a plant can be cut off but that's a tiny detail. Nice work!

Very good game it got everything correct the charming fun atmosphere the harvesting mechanics the fly swatting mechanics the hilarious pun based name of the game the simple peaceful gameplay my only gripes with this game is no peaceful sounding music maybe music may not fit this game but some peaceful sounding farm music with a martian bits combined with the peaceful farm music would have been nice and the game should have had you get 100 tomatoes instead of 25 tomatoes with the difficulty of the fly's increasing every 25 fly's because the game is quite easy and short it's not that the game get's boring far from it but it being harder and longer would have great overall though this game is honestly the second best game I have played so far 4.8 stars

This game was pretty fun and enjoyable and charming, although it felt a bit short and maybe needed some music, but in the end it was really enjoyable

Very cool and fun!) I didn't expect such a game) Everything is very cool! But the mac version didn't start for me.

Cool take makes for a neat little action game. I eventually learned the strategy of leaving some plants dead so you didn't have to worry about them, but then it became a bit too easy. Good pacing and challenge level but I wish the game wasn't over so quickly. +1 to Production for good packaging and README.

Nice little game.

At the end I got this exception (I guess it does not matter):

Loved the game, the only thing I would want more is a little more challenge to keep me always coming back. With the sound effects and getting used to it I felt I could beat it easily each time. If there was extra levels/challenges for it like maybe two of the fly ships to defend against. But overall it was great.

Tutorial was awesome! Loved the gameplay elements, sound, menu, everything. Would have loved to have some additional levels for a challenge to add to the fun.

Silly, short, fun, cute, and polished! I have kept the world safe for catsup.

The game started out wayy too hectic, with the flies running all over grabbing tomatoes. I soon realized that there really wasn't a downside to just pruning and keeping watch over just the area of the planet you could see without scrolling, at which point the game became trivial. The flies never come over fast enough to get your tomatoes, all you need to do is prune and (quickly) harvest.

Also, was there a way to exit after winning besides just closing the window?

p.s. do you use a lot of ketchup in Austria? I would have bet you were a "mayonnaise on fries" sort of country.

This looked and played surprisingly smooth. The cursors changing into scissors and things was a nice touch and looked very retro. There was not much of a challenge to it since you could just stick to one or two plants and keep a close eye on it, and leave the other ones to wither. Also, in the end I both lost and won at the same time, I wonder why that happened. All in all a solid entry!

Pretty nice game.

fun and simple. The flys look like birds

Fun 4 Prod 4 Inno 3

It was super fun, Only downside is that it ends super quickly. Maybe crank the number of tomatoes to 40?
