Möbius

Call me Möbius...
Möbius is seeking revenge against his old nemesis: humans.

It's mainly 2 player game, but it can also be played in 1 player mode.

It requires python 2.7 and pygame 1.9 (possibly less, we haven't tested it yet)

Any feedback will be welcome.

Diary Entries

Day 1: First steps

It's our first time on PyWeek, we are a group of four students of the UPM, a university in Madrid. We will be using Pygame for the challenge.

Here we are at sneaky's place, drawing whales and stuff.

The game will be about "Möbius", our favourite virtual whale. We already have the main idea, and we will be posting some sketches soon.

It's still more like a test, but it has Möbius and physics.

And style.

Day 3

Well, we will not be able to really work on the game until Friday, because we have an exam on Thursday, but we have made some improvements, and fixed some ideas.

The game will allow two players to work cooperatively on the same keyboard. The mechanics and objectives would be the same if you do so, but you would get double fun.

We are almost there

It seems like we have one day left, and a couple of monster drinks too (5 on the table btw)

It's been a menu and physics afternoon, discussing about geometry and acceleration... Yes, there is a good work here.

We planned programming on alcohol or on caffeine... After some arguments, here is the result.

Here you are, ladies and gentlemen, a mobius version 2, with some scumbag controls, and... 2 players yeah!

(Sorry for the badass menu: 'n' to play, and ESC to quit. Execute the main.py)

Day 7

Well... We are a little bit disappointed. We didn't have enough time to do all the things we wanted to do, but nevertheless we have accomplished more than we thought we could.

The game has a nice physics engine and cool sound.

We think it will be nice to keep working in it in the future.



It has been a lot of fun, and we have had a great time. We are very tired now...
We hope you enjoy our little game =]
