I like your style, but, color-wise, it's pretty self-similar, making it hard on the mind to tell what's what quickly.  That will have a negative impact on games that require quick reactions.  Hopefully your sprites are very saturated.

Beautiful! If the roads are the only thing on the screenshot relevant to the gameplay then I think it's fine. They stand apart from the background well enough.
