Hey. I just thought to activate the #pyweek search in my twitter client.

I don't like that messages to the pyweek.org messages board are echoed to twitter. The RSS feed is completely perfect for keeping up with those messages. Seeing them duplicated and truncated in my tweets is redundant.

But I'd still like to see keep my #pyweek twitter search, to see human originated tweets.

It was probably a lot of work to get working, so I'm going to feel guilty about this, but would anyone else prefer turning off the echoing of website messages to twitter?

(of course, after complaining about duplication, I first posted this to twitter, then thought it would be better to post it here. Ahem.)

+1 on avoiding duplicated/trunkated message board tweets. A quick fix is removing "#pyweek" from the @pyweekdiaries messages. Then those who want to follow what is happening in the Messages-page on pyweek.org via Twitter can to that. And the #pyweek tag won't be "polluted".
