PAX10 indie game submission notification

recently i got to know about http://www.paxsite.com/pax10.php - interesting games there (i just loved 'Machinarium'!)

from there i found http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=89Zb2TckvVPuvmHhOSvaOQ_3d_3d - "Panel/panelist submissions for PAX 2009 have ended! Please e-mail pax_panels@penny-arcade.com if you would like to be notified when submissions for PAX East Coast 2010 and PAX West Coast 2010 are open."

who wants to submit Python games there? ;)

I've played one of those top 10 games before - Closure. It was outstanding! Could be the most innovative game I played all year. It's one of those brilliant ideas you wish you'd thought of first. It also had relatively modest production, like something that could be produced at PyWeek.

Having said that, most of those games look "out of our league". They were clearly put together by indie game studios that put their games on the market, people who do this as their full-time job. Not hobbyists working in their spare time. I'm just saying.
the interesting point is there is a very thin frontier between hobbysts and professional games - a good example is Kenta Cho, which used to consider himself as hobbyst, and he did some of the most known and best indie games ever... (imho)

i'd like to see more comments about this, since it seems to be a very interesting post subject to talk about! :)
