Feather Trading - Negative wealth?

There are two players at the bottom of the list with a negative number of coins. How can that happen?

I'm reliably informed that the game only checks selling requests to see whether the price is less than the actual current market price, and doesn't check that it's positive, meaning that while you can't forge a request which benefits you, you can forge one which lets you sell your feathers for negative amounts of money.
