Musician seeking team

Howdy folks,

I'm an old face that never really showed itself back in the day. I used to compete in pyweek as a member of The Olde Battleaxe, along with philhassey.
I'd like to get back into it. Phil is busy, but I've got time to spare. I make music, and I'm happy to help with conceptualization, design, non-skilled grunt work (level building, etc.), and play testing.

Well, we have a member who usually does music/sfx, but I haven't seen him since last competition - so if your interested we could use another member - especially in the art department, but level design and playtesting are also large areas we tend not to get to until too late :S
"easy" solution (maybe too easy...) - look for baroque midi files (all seems to be public domain), and convert them to .s3m, .mod or .it from ModPlugTracker (which works fine on Wine - if people knows better trackers, please let us know, as well good module tunes with cc-nc-sa license... ).
Using baroque music seems to be not bad idea at all: Konami used BWV565 (Toccata and Fugue in D minor) from J.S. Bach, on Gyruss.
@ RB[0] - I'd be glad to join your team, as long as you are dedicated to having a completed entry. Reading your other posts, your idea sounds ambitious considering your tight schedule. But, if your sure we'll have something to show for the week, I'll sign on.
I'm sorry if i sound too sceptical. But, since music and sfx are sort of "icing on the cake", it's nice to be sure that there's going to be a cake. :)

@ nitrofurano - Your solution would work fine for someone who can't find a composer to join their team. An alternative would be to invite a composer (such as yours truly) to join their team.

In my experience, ModPlug is the best free tracker out there. ReNoise has some advantages over ModPlug, but it costs money and I know of many people who preferr ModPlug anyway, even if ReNoise were free. There are other trackers of course, but if you're used to ModPlug's interface, they're not really worth trying.
Now that we seem to be bringing a team together, I'll be more committed to finishing something.
If it was just going to be me (which until about 3 hours ago it was LOL) I wasn't going to push really hard since it was probably not going to be worth it.

But with you doing music (and level design/playtesting) and nicolas doing modelling, I think we will definitely have a FPS, now whether there will be 15 levels of unique creatures I dunno, but we'll have a few levels and a few weapons and such hopefully :)

I'll add you to the team :)
Excellent! Look forward to it!
