Unfortunate Undoing not working

Has anyone got The Unfortunate Undoing to work on MacOSX?

On startup, I get a white screen with black bars across the top and bottom.

If I click randomly until I find the start button, I get a walking character, but he's walking across completely white backgrounds.

I have MacOSX 10.4, PPC G4, ATI Radeon 9000 Pro.

This is disappointing, because it looks like it could be one of the more interesting games...

i went thru 9 kinds of heck to get this game working, but at least i have upgraded video drivers on all my computers now. i think your best luck is with a nvidia card and on linux.
I could not get the game working at all, on vista with ATI card and latest drivers and such - took a lot of heck to grab some dlls I don't have (and I only realized I needed by repeatedly running and seeing the load errors - and no, they weren't in the winlib - or whatever folder - stuff like msvcrt90.dll or something), and then it started crashing with vague load errors on dlls (I think it said something about a library being accessed incorrectly or something...) and such, IIRC...
if msvcrt90.dll is _missing_, you need the C runtime enviro for vc2008, look at [1]
if msvcrt90.dll is _not apropiatelly started_ or some similar, it can be a manifest problem, a glimpse at the meaning [2]

other libraries lately required by new software: the 'MS net framework runtimes'. This are languaje sensitive, be sure to select the lang of you windows, and go for the link '.NET Framework 3.5 full package' or similar, the most visible download is a bootstraper, not the real thing. See [3] for the english MS page.

After this, two or three windows updates in a row, allowing things that looks as library upgrades...

have fun !

Ah!, and I forgot that for running in my system ( XP ) I moved all dlls in the gamedir\winlibs one level up, ie to the side of run_game.py.

I fear that will not work in vista, I think (but really dont know) you need manifest(s) so that vista accepts the .dlls.
