What the?

I like the idea but it needs more work to make it fun. There was no readme or in game instructions
so I had no idea what to do until I read your diary entry. Even after reading that I don't really
get it. Basically nothing I do has any significance except finding the one tile that wins the
game? I think it needs more obstacles/goals. Also, nothing happened when I fell off the edge of
the map :/

It is easy to fall into an empty part of the maze, and difficult to climb back out. It's quite fun for a simple idea, though.

no sound, no instructions, goal?

Controls are a little weird, and it's too easy to fall off the edge of the
world.

Exceptionally generic:) Cool concept

Simple but fun. :)

I'm not sure if there was a packaging issue or something, but the tiles just look like rectangles for me, not like in your screenshot. I actually think it's pretty cool that you were able to make a procedurally-generated maze, but maybe that time would have been better spent ironing out the gameplay. I was pleased by the fact that I never seemed to get stuck in a place where I couldn't jump out of. But the jump physics seemed kind of buggy, especially when I would jump into a wall.

I'm not sure where the theme of Mutate is supposed to come in. I didn't see the cave changing on its own. Reading your diary entries, it looks like you didn't get a chance to implement it? That's too bad. If I missed the connection, maybe you could be a little more explicit about it.

Impressively fun for its size. It is rather easy to fall out of the world. ALso, without your last diary entry, I'd have no idea what I was doing :P

I was really curios in understanding your game but I had to read the code to discover that blue cell is the mother one (still not sure about what "Deadly" red cells are...).

I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing in this game, and it's very easy to fall out of the world.

Also, you *really* need to ship a README or something.

It works! That's a good start. Not many Pyweek games I've tried so far can make that claim. :)

I like the minimap. It gives me a sense of the immensity of the space, and its contour. That's a welcome dimension I'm sure I would miss without the minimap.

Too bad you had so little time. I would like to see more drama and action. It was not quite so fun with the only goals being turn squares green and find/kill the baddy queen.

Thanks for a good effort.

Certainly an interesting start, but needs something more.

nice concept but I feel it needs a bit more.

Fantastic design! I'm not sure how it ties to "Mutate!"... Things I like: 1) Exploration. Both in navigating the caverns and in figuring out what is what. 2) AI. The enemies are predictable yet occasionally cause surprises. 3) The player makes lasting, meaningful changes in the game world. It helps navigation and just painting everything green is an attractive goal. And it's also the combat mechanic.

Thanks!

i don't understand that game ;)

I really liked the feel of the movement of the little automaton.

This game is super fun considering how simple it is. I did notice that you can fall out the bottom of the map into the void.
