3 | 2 | 4 | This is a hard game. I wish you would have put in a level select, or let me have more than one life, because I don't want to start back over from the beginning. The gameplay aspect could be fun if it were a bit easier to work with. At least in level 2, it took me a while to figure out when I needed to turn on the pigs. My only other issue is that it takes way too long after you land a feather correctly for it to register. I kept thinking, "Yay I won! Oh wait... I guess not." and then a few seconds later it jumped to the next level. |
2 | 2 | 3 | This game needs much better visual feedback. Feathers currently look like they're falling behind the cauldron and only actually register as being in it several seconds later. Because of this, I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out how to actually get them in there. Playing the game in a window requires more mouse accuracy than I have. I kept clicking outside the game window accidentally when trying to hit the windows on the sides. In addition, I often clicked on what I thought was the window (or pig, or whatever) only to have nothing happen. There's potential for a fun game in here, but it needs a lot more work. |
1 | 3 | 2 | Game play simply wasn't that fun. Plus it seemed quite buggy. |
2 | 2 | 4 | This game would need another week to show its full potential I think. |
2 | 2 | 3 | a bit too hard to control but I like the art |
2 | 2 | 4 | Interesting idea with opening the windows. They are quite hard to open and close - the game doesn't parse all the clicks. Some feathers going into the cauldron near the edges don't get in there, and the whole game isn't much of fun. |
2 | 3 | 3 | i couldn't tell when a feather made it into the cauldron. at some point i got past the first level, then at some other point i got kicked back to the title screen but i'm not sure if i won or lost. |
2 | 2 | 3 | The production levels on this game really could have been better! For instance, the feather seems to fall behind the pot rather than being removed on entering the pot!? The level transitions were rather shakey too! |
2 | 3 | 3 | For some reason the game itself just didn't grab me but the graphics were decent and the concept looked like it has potential. |
2 | 3 | 3 | Nice graphics, but weak implementation of a rather standard idea. I think you already know what you wanted to do differently, so I won't bring up anything that would be redundant. |
1 | 3 | 3 | Too hard to control and influence the game. |
2 | 2 | 3 | Good idea to use the windows and the sleeping pigs as sources of wind! |
2 | 3 | 3 | control seems too much imprecise |
1 | 3 | 4 | well - instructions would have been nice. more Feedback in general - but nevertheless: compared to your previous work here it PyWeek a great improvement :) |
2 | 2 | 2 | The cheerful concept shines through the simple drawings, and with a more immersive implementation I can imagine it could be fun. |
3 | 1 | 5 | Good idea for moving feathers with opening windows, but the game is very hard to play. Drawings |
3 | 3 | 4 | Could have used more feedback about whether a feather had landed in the cauldron or not. |
2 | 3 | 3 | With the winning and losing screens the same, I don't know whether I'm doing it right! |
3 | 3 | 4 | Please organize your file structure. At least put your images and levels into a "data"-subfolder of your game. Otherwise it's really difficult to find the readme and run_game.py. Apart from this, your game is actually quite good, esp. for younger people. Please complete it after pyweek. :-) |
