Great solo first entry but it was lacking overall
Things such as adding a background music and add shoot sfx would have brought it to another stage
The UI was also lacking

Um it is a game, so concratulatios for making one, good job. To improve your game add audio and music, also let me move when holding keys. I liked the sandstorm. Maybe add score count or something like that.

It's pretty challenging: sometimes I would die without anything obvious hitting me. Nice graphics: could do with a little bit of sound or music: good work!

I like how it feels like a arcade game, plus its cool you play as a alien, most of the games have you playing against the alien
fireclaw
Simple but playable. Would benefit from some audio and displaying the score to the user during the game aside of just a the end.

Cool! It seems simple at first but the different hazards really complement one another. I especially like the dust storm effect. It could just use a difficulty curve. I died on purpose at 82. +1 Production for good packaging and README.

Congrats on shipping your first game! But it's pretty basic, my dude. I scored 27 and am confident I saw everything the game will do.
I think the asteroid is a bit cheap. Either it's far away and you're fine, or it comes out right on top of you and insta-kills you.
I don't want to be mean, but after about three goes I really don't want to play this again.

pretty average game it's fun and interesting but a relatively small boring game with not much content
speedlimit35
a simple shooting game. Not really fun, not really innovative. The desert/mars background was pretty good

I like the way you think but it wasn't challenging enough it was super easy and super repetitive a sound or a UI would help it
Well as you wrote its very basic. No sound nor music. Also the controls to move: I know it simpler to implement one step per key, but its tedious to play... always have to hit the key. For a first game without pygame knowledge you did well thought.
