PyWeek - Silvey Studios - feedback

Fun 2 Prod 2 Inno 2

Alex

Text games can be fun, but this seemed a bit too simple: I didn't see any mechanic other than pure random chance.

On packaging, I'm unsure whether this maybe should be a disqualification or not: the idea of pyweek is to develop games in python and release the source code so that others can learn from it or draw inspiration from it. Providing only an .exe file break this. It also makes it very difficult for anyone not on windows to run (though it ran fine once extracted). I strongly recommend that you upload the source code, as a zip file, in addition to an .exe file (the .exe distribution is convenient for windows users). Alternatively, at a minimum I'd want to see a link to the source code, for example on github.

Sorry I can't run an exe on macos: make sure to upload source code next time!

Sorry, I'm on Linux. I need the source code to run it.

Unfortunately there is no source code available (neither uploaded nor a link)! There is only an exe which only will run on win. If I remember correctly you have to submit the source too.

It looks like you had the motivation to finished something. Good.

I was unable to run this executable file. I tried through the web page and through downloading all pyweek 40 files, but no luck.

Source code not supplied, only a Windows executable, which I can't run on my machine.

My (windows 11) computer won't open the exe unfortunately.
