3 | 2 | 3 | there might be a neat gameplay concept in here, switching colors and hiding in a flock of bullet absorbing birds, but the (presumably autogenerated) levels quickly devolved into a frenzy of bullets everywhere, so unfortunately it wasn't very playable. |
2 | 1 | 2 | yes | It doesn't even mention feathers. Nice idea though, but it runs way too slow to be playable. Also, it is easy to leave the screen without return. |
3 | 2 | 3 | Not really sure what to use the birds for, but as a game it was quite fun. :) |
2 | 3 | 3 | Has the potential to be quite fun, but the apparently random motion of both the flocks and the screen make it very difficult to control. It's hard enough tracking the flock without the scenery whooshing around all over the place crashing you into walls. Perhaps moving the scenery in conjunction with the player would be a better plan -- at least that requires tracking one fewer variable. Failing that, smoother changes in velocity or direction shift the gameplay from twitch-reaction toward action-planning. A longer game would be nice too, but the above issues would probably have prevented me finishing anything much longer than this. |
2 | 3 | 4 | I like the idea a lot, but it just seemed more challenging than it should have been. When the white flock first goes down, the movement would get really choppy for me (under 10 fps) which made it all but impossible to dodge all the bullets and walls. The movement is a little counterintuitive. If I go just off the bottom of the screen when it's moving slow, and the screen starts to move fast, I expect to reappear on the bottom as it catches up to me. It took me a long time to figure out where my thing disappeared to. |

1 | 2 | 3 | Sounds/music would have been nice - Controls felt a bit rough.. |
3 | 4 | 4 | Simple game with clean graphics, but a bit hard to play - the colours could be more easy to see |
2 | 2 | 3 | too much difficult. |
2 | 2 | 2 | Way too hard. Flocks are too small with unclear boundaries. This would make an interesting part of a shooter though (but it needs bigger flocks). |
1 | 2 | 2 | A great idea marred by very bland and awkward implementation. Please make a great game with this idea after PyWeek! |
1 | 2 | 1 | yes | Where were the feathers? |
3 | 2 | 4 | I would have liked to see some music in this game! |

2 | 2 | 4 | The lack of gameplay depth is a problem. |
2 | 4 | 2 | The game had a nice graphical feel in it. And the bird flocks locked nice. However, it felt a bit hard, and my fps went down quite a bit when many objects appeared on screen at the same time. |
1 | 1 | 1 | yes | Frame rate too low to be playable. (Python 2.5, MacOSX 10.4.10, dual 1.25GHz PPC, Radeon 9000 Pro) |
2 | 2 | 1 | Black birds on a dark brown background while avoiding black obstacles - not a good idea. |
2 | 2 | 3 | Quite a nice concept but ruined for me by sluggish performance (possibly my less than stellar graphics hardware biting me again) and a slightly buggy execution (movement seemed to be in fixed increments, I could fly partially into walls before triggering collisions). |
3 | 2 | 4 | Lacks polish, but overall very nice. |
