I think being allowed to mutate the blocks just provides too much freedom to the player and
makes the game less interesting than standard tetris. Congratulations on your first entry
though -- it's pretty slick and polished for a first entry!

Cool idea; manages to shoehorn Tetris into the challenge theme. Increasing difficulty would have been good. Multi player could be awesome because the necessity to choose pieces .

Interesting take on tetris.

nice game ;)

sorry i couldn't get it to work on my windows computer

Now I've got that song stuck in my head. *arghl*

An interesting idea, but the controls are counterintuitive. One key to cycle through mutations may be a better idea. It may also be better to make the starting shapes of the pieces random and to speed up the pieces instead of having a time limit.

Sorry I get a segmentation fault! Nothing else printed out. I'm on Ubuntu....

2 2 1

Uhhh... I always get the same block?

3 2 2

Without the randomness, it doesn't seem quite as much fun

Interesting idea, but it doesn't really work for me. Apart from the "choose your own tetris", the controls felt a bit clunky. I kept trying to use the spacebar to drop the piece.

Tetris has been done to death. You knew that going in, I'm sure. Innovation aside, not a bad first entry! If you had time I would have liked color, decoration, nicer sfx, more helpful help.

I was hoping the blocks would mutate. The stale-block negation is not a bad idea but it would only make a difference for someone who wanted to get a high score. Since the high score is not even saved, I cannot see why someone would.

2 2 3

maybe needs a bit more to make it compelling.

2 2 2

Well, the game was very similar to Tetris. Good job getting a working game on your first entry :)

Might be useful to have a display of what score you will get for each block the next time you use it.

noob? HA!

Checking "Entry Did Not Work" because I had to disable all music to get it working. It was quite
basic, and I believe actually *having* to chose blocks to be annoying.

i didn't get the sense of it. But the music is cool(but a little bit to obvious for a tetris game;) I had 2 min fun.

Interesting take on tetris!

Interesting concept. Needed an instruction page, colour, and random/next blocks ... would have been more fun 'cheating' rather than starting with the 1x1 cube and picking what shapes to go in.

The idea seems nice, however Why don't we just stack up the little default blocks instead of making it harder and mutating the blocks?

And the music was annoying :/
