day 1
team crow-magnon. Brostorm got a 6-pack of Spaten Dunkel and yelled ideas at his teammate, jamiltron, and he did the same. We argued back and forth about what classes should do what and where and why, and which ones get factories and which ones don't. We came up with an awesome idea for what to do with the game and we both agreed that we both hope our parents never see our finished product.
Second day
Brostorm and I met up at the University and after wallowing in our sorrows we got the sprite movement and some unit logic down.
Today I have class so I only have a few short hours to work on this, but I was hoping that I would be able to implement the combat system before going to bed tonight.

tuesday evening, more beer.
I worked on some of the animation routines and loading spritesheets. Now i'm making some soup and i'm going to drink some beer and code a bit tonight when jamiltron gets back from class. we're both thinking of taking friday off from work to get some hacking in. My goal is to have the game engine and logic finished by friday so we can spend the rest of the time creating content/levels/animations.
I wish we had an artist on our team. I think to compensate we're just going to make the image sprites really tiny so nobody can tell.

Squads
It's difficult working full time and doing grad school while trying to build a game - I am definitely not getting as much done as I would like to. Tonight I finished most of the squad routines and hopefully will finish threat range tonight. The combat system also shouldn't be a problem but I am a little ways off from having squads fight each other.
work is hard
working full time and doing school and programming a game in a week is hard. me and jamiltron did some work last night. He was working on squad while i wanted to start piecing together menus and screens. I hit a wall and couldn't think so i just watched SVU and had another beer. Then work called at midnight and i had to do some silly stuff instead of code. Now i'm coding on my lunchbreak.
