5 | 5 | 4 | Incredible. Just incredible. The greyscale graphics totally fit the game and looked great. |

4 | 5 | 5 | there's a lot of commentary on this game so i'll keep it brief. creating a 3d world (with nice touches like the 3d map) for a one-week game is amazing. i liked the minimal aesthetic as well. not having separate camera controls (at least as an option) was bad, it took me some time to make the blind piano jump which would have been easy if i could move the camera manually. storywise i was also confused about exactly what happened at the end, although the ambiguity may have been intentional. would have liked more exploration (like finding the secret staircase) and less jumping puzzles like the 3-block room. even with these blemishes this is an incredible achievement for a pyweek entry. |

3 | 4 | 5 | I had a lot of trouble controlling this game. Instead of trying to make the left and right keys actually more left and right and then shift the camera to follow, rather have left and right rotate and always have the character move only forwards or backwards. Some parts of the game require moving in directions that are very awkward with the current setup, especially when moving sideways ends up being an arc instead of a line. For some reason, the entrance to the secret stairway didn't work when playing fullscreen on MacOS -- the block kept getting stuck. I only managed to get it open when I invoked the right commandline params to get a windowed game. I loved the story and the exploration aspects of the game. The world had just the right kind of feel. If the controls hadn't been so frustrating I would probably have become more immersed, though. |

2 | 3 | 2 | I liked the rather atmospheric art style, but the collisions were pretty so-so in the platforming bits, and the camera was occasionally a real pain. |
2 | 3 | 3 | The linear walk-through naure limits the replay potential. Really annoying interface. |
4 | 5 | 3 | Simply wow. Great job! |
4 | 4 | 4 | Very nice game with very interesting graphics, also the story is well done, but there was some "bugs", like it's very slow, on my 2,4GHz Intel, Nvidia GeForce 5200 128MB, RAM 1024MB there was about 5FPS, that's not so much :D but still playable... And when the player collides with the floor and ceiling at moment, the FPS comes to 1 Frame per 5 seconds, it happened in the secret staircase and somewhere else as well... But very good job, I still haven't completed whole game yet, hopefully i will. |
4 | 5 | 4 | A very interesting and well made game. All in all a very well done and complete game. |
3 | 5 | 5 | A great-looking and innovative game, but ultimately the camera was annoying (trying to get the feather on the piano, or pushing blocks, was frustrating). |
5 | 4 | 4 | Awesome! Well done! |
3 | 4 | 4 | Nice use of grey scale art. I image getting the third person view tracking right is hard but without it working really slickly game play was fairly frustrating. Still an impressive entry though. :) |
2 | 4 | 4 | it had it's own flair and interestingly, this was the first SuperEffective game I managed to play through at all.. but something was missing... The story was telled in heaps with the pieces of paper lying around, but I think I missed one or two, as the whole story does not make any sense to me - especially the ending.. :/ |
3 | 4 | 3 | good mysterious ambient
4 | 5 | 4 | Well, I didn't love it or hate it. As far as Super Effective games go, it was average, which is still really good. It's pretty much what I imagined from your screenshots. Of course I have to give you 5 for production for a seamless world with huge amounts of detail. I thought the controls were perfect too. You really don't need direct camera control in a game like this, I completely agree with you. Your unmatched production sets the bar high for the rest of us.
For fun I give a 4. I really wanted more challenges: it was way too straightforward. I know you want it to be accessible, but it was soooo easy. But, somebody else got stuck, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here and just assume I got lucky.
For innovation, I really liked your non-linear storyline and creative backstory. But replacing keys with feathers is not a good use of the theme in my opinion! And yeah, I got the references to Paradise Lost and fallen angels. Still, the feathers felt like an afterthought. |

4 | 5 | 5 | Very well done. My only criticism, if it can be called such, given that I don't know your development-side intent, is that pacing felt a bit slow, even with the mystery aspect. Oddly, I think giving the user the ability to control the camera with the mouse would have solved this, even though that wouldn't have done anything other than make exploration a bit easier. |
2 | 4 | 1 | Nice visuals and music. |
5 | 5 | 4 | This game is just awesome. It was entertaining.. kinda kept me guessing all the way through. The level design is exceptional. Love the art style. |
4 | 4 | 4 | Just two suggestions: First, make the character movement look more natural (yeah, easier said than done). Second, do something about the camera (yeah that's very specific). ^^ |
3 | 4 | 3 | good but controls are a bit difficult maybe with right nd left just for rotatio(or even better |
3 | 4 | 4 | cool game. a map system would have been great, and some music during the game. |
2 | 2 | 2 | The win32 locked/crashed my comp, but source ran, pretty well, so kudos on that, but as a whole, this is probably my least favorite of your entries to date. |
4 | 5 | 2 | A very bare and very well executed game of exploration! I was afraid at first that the writing would get overly cliché or overly avant-garde, but you walked the fine line well, and it was unobtrusive anyway. This was nice too: leaving interpretation to the player, while also giving a sense of accomplishment. The puzzles, the exploration and reading the small snippets made for a nicely varied pace. The snippets, the monochrome graphics and the minimal sound effects lend it a rather malevolent aura — I was continuously afraid, half-expecting a sudden monster attack at every corner. Very well done! |

1 | 1 | 1 | yes | Couldn't start it. Just got a black screen. Shame, looked promising. |
3 | 3 | 3 | yes | Did not start. Python hanged. (on windows vista) |
1 | 1 | 1 | yes | Black screen. |
2 | 5 | 2 | Technically impressive, but lacking in gameplay - basically running about. Got as far as the observatory before giving up out of boredom. |
3 | 5 | 5 | *slow clap* |
2 | 3 | 2 | Nice graphics! Pity the control is so mindbendingly annoying.. 3d always adds a level of complexity. Great job with the visuals! |
4 | 5 | 4 | I thought this was amazing just for a few rooms, but after getting a few feathers I realized this castle is huge! This game feels complete and polished from start to finish. Finding out about the story this way was fun and interesting even if 3d jumping puzzles are not (especially with no way to rotate the camera). Great work. |
4 | 5 | 3 | Very nice take on the theme and looks great. A bit short but I enjoyed it |
3 | 3 | 1 | Load time is murderous, and why did he commit suicide in the end? |
4 | 5 | 4 | Very good production with quite a cool monochromatic style. Camera could be implemented a bit better though; sometimes I couldn't see where I was going very well. |
3 | 5 | 4 | I always like your games in pyweek. |
5 | 5 | 5 | this game were a complete surprise for me - this can be considered an important reference for people who want to develop a OpenGL/Pyglet game - just awesome! |
