incomplete game so hard to say what a finished version would have been like. looking at the
screenshot makes it pretty easy to figure out how to get all the ants across, with the unlimited
arbitrary nodes available.

Very nice idea! Unfinished of course, but I love it so far.

1 1 1

no gameplay. sorry.

2 3 4

Nice sound effects. Would've liked some texts telling me what the buttons are etc. but I figured them out by trying before too long. Nice idea, shame you didn't have time to polish it more.

1 2 1

not great

2 2 2

Not sure how to work this

2 3 3

Eeh, it might have been a nice game, if it were more finished. And I got an Zero Division Error in the middle...
angle = int(round(math.acos(dx / self.length) * 6 / math.pi))
ZeroDivisionError: float division

I like where this was going. This could have been a fun game. Too bad you didn't have time to finish. The idea, making a bridge of ropes for ants by setting ropes that can break under stress, sounds like fun. There is potential for both a puzzle game if the pegs are fixed and you have a set number of ants, or a action game if you just keep getting ants. Anyway, at least it was an interesting idea, you might want to develop this game into completion.

The concept seems interesting... I would like to see this one finished.

2 3 3

If it had been finished, this could have been pretty good...

2 2 2

nice graph building, but there is no game yet.

3 3 3

The concept looks interesting, and I can see a more complex puzzle game developing where you have to set up multiple bridges with limited resources, the ants can choose which bridge, etc.

2 3 4

The concept seems interesting, a load balancing game done right could be very interesting. Too bad you couldn't finish the game during pyweek but I'd like to encourage you to take the concept further.

1 2 3

A good start, but not really anything in the way of gameplay yet.

2 3 3 yes

Game is not yet complete. Could not get the game play idea as well.

Good luck for the next time around. Kudoes for your attempt.

The idea of lemmings with strings has potential, but too little gameplay is implemented to know how good will work.

That said, having to constantly rebuild the string is not funny. It will work if ocasionally, but not as base of the gameplay.

I think that solo entries based on pure pygame have low chances to complete in a week: you spend time making a scene framework, then animation support, then actors physics, and you are near the deadline.

Anyway, I hope you develop further your game and anounce at pygame.

1 1 1

Not really something...

2 3 4

Neat game! I like the concept and the feel of the game -- as you said, it's very Lemmings-like.
I'm sorry you weren't able to finish it in time -- what you created was a fun little sandbox
though, and I was able to get a small handful of ants across the river -- though I didn't realize
that one could create new pegs until I read your page here. Nicely done on this
most-of-an-entry -- you were on the right track with this one!

I love bridge building games. Would have liked to see a bit more with this entry. Reasonably good production.

I like about anything with ants :)

It has good potential. I hope you plan on working on it more.

2 3 3

well... got it "done" quickly and then just had to watch the ants wandering around endlessly... ... ...

1 3 4

looks like it could be fun if if finished, shame about the having to work thing... I guess I had it
easy as a student with nothing else to do over the holidays :)

1 2 2

Well, could be a nice game, if finished :)

3 2 3

It needs more gameplay or something

3 2 3

Basic game idea seems funny.. if you add some levels or higher difficulty levels you'll have a nice game. Quite good for a first attempt, actually.. ^^

1 2 2

I tried to fire the ducks but I couldn't. How do I do that?

2 2 2

:-/

1 2 3

Shows potential.

2 2 4

I liked the idea. Hope you can finish it someday :)

Ants.
