PyWeek - Proiz92 - feedback

logic breaks and can't exit certain conditional statement it seems.
also don't think this is really using python and the software architecture under the hood has not going through any form of development or optimizations for readability.

I was able to visit 3-4 screens, had no idea what to do afterwards. It is amazing it works in the browser too. Good idea to use a console for decisions, but please add some help, and error messages for the unrecognized commands.

I was completely lost and started typing. Sometimes something happened, sometimes not. Even peeking into source it was hard to figure out what worked. Some hints would have been nice (like what options are available). But I guess the text adventures in the past were no better (only heard about them, not played any). It was a interesting but also a bit frustrating experience. It a rare for a pyweek entry to use a text interface.

The visuals and music where nice. The main issue I had was that it wasn't clear after getting the items from the compartment it wasn't clear what my options where. I think it would have been improved if you included a list of options. i.e. "do you want to use the battery on the bottle, or keep on exploring".

I could not progress without checking the source code to see what replies I can provide to move on to next.

The production level is pretty nice even though its not a completed adventure :)

Got stuck and did not know what to type. Is figuring out what to type also part of the game?

I like a good text based adventure: the use of the music and AI art adds a nice ambience to the experience. I didn't manage to get too far in as I couldn't figure out the prompts to use? I managed to get the hammer and bottle: maybe a few prompt in the text couldn help narrow down the possible options to type? Or a guide to the types of prompt combinations that are possible? Good work on getting something complete!

Well done for getting something complete. It's tricky to figure out the commands in a lot of places so I cheated and looked at the source. I seemed to have found the crystal before the transmitter but the story suggests it should be the other way around. The music is excellently spooky.

I enjoyed the story and I think the images and the music create a good vibe, but idk what to do half the time because it doesn't show the options on screen. When I got to "you decided not to pick the items" I was stuck, even after looking at the source code. I think you had a great idea here but it's hard to play without knowing the options.

-Props to tackling a text based adventure game
-Had some issues with prompts
Pretty short and simple but cool. I like the grue that eats you when you venture into the dark. For games with text-based interfaces like this, the Production for me is mostly based on how well it parses various phrases. More hints to get the exact phrasing would be welcome, as well as things like "help", "inventory", "restart", etc. Thanks for submitting this!
