One-screen platformer shooter. You shoot in four directions. Defend the princess from the oncoming waves of monsters! Once you or the princess run out of health, the game is over. Two shot types: normal bullets, and a one-shot super-strong laser. Only works on Windows. Frustrating to control--jumping and shooting sideways is hard to do. No sound effects, just a looping song for a soundtrack. Basic graphics--flat unanimated sprites with no consistent art style, and the world is a white background and dark gray platforms. Just kinda bland. |

Sorry, I'm on Linux. Tried to run it in wine but failed. Consider releasing the source version, next time. :( |

I couldn't boot the game. Since no source code is attached, I gave up further attempts. |

Unfortunately, you have not provided any facility for users of operating systems other than Windows to run your game. You don't have to compile it into an executable for this competition; you can just publish the source code and data. A lot of the people entering this competition use GNU/Linux, to which exe files are incomprehensible. For publishing games to the wider world, this process is very helpful, as the vast majority have Windows and not Python. With the Pyweek community, of course we have Python installed: we used it for the competition. To clarify, there's no rule against compiling to exe files (indeed it is helpful, especially if you use exotic libraries), you just need to provide source code as well. |

This game clearly was not developed for Pyweek. It is obviously not a creation for the contest. No normal systems support.... |
