PyWeek - MartianMadness - feedback

The gameplay was a bit repetitive and the balance was weird.
I like the 3d map
What would have boosted my ratings are better gun effects, animate bullets, better ui and physics

This game is good however it does have a few issues first sometimes the bots can be spawned too close to the player which results in an instant death second of all a few shots from the bot kills the player quite quickly third of all the jump button is useless because of how low the gravity is you can go flying halfway across the screen with a simple run off the hills more health would fix this and the first issue forth the games terrain is kinda boring it's just endless hills other than that the game is fine the terrain is quite innovative and impressive for a python made game it is also quite big vast and open one thing that I don't think is an issue but slightly annoying is that the mountain like terrain can make it hard to find and destroy the robots anyway good game

Its really cool that this is a 3d game, but the game itself is pretty annoying to play, I feel like I fly into space every time I seeming make a jump or leap, and the aliens kill me in one shot a lot of times so its impossible to stand still and try and find them, its only fun when I do it to them ):<

Nice concept, but didn't run well (couldn't move) - might be a MacOS issue. Also the MacOS executable files don't work

I strongly suggest to submit the source next time! At least I found the source on your gibhub repo.
There aren't many first person shooters in pyweek entries. Simple yet took me some tries to finish. I guess it would have been too difficult if the enemies would have moved too.

Got stuck trying to find some of the last few aliens and then Bam they found me lol. Maybe a bigger mini map would have helped. was nice to feel the gravity as well.

Minimap wasn't wide enough, spent a lot of time searching for enemies. I liked the controls, especially the gravity jumps.

Immediately closes when I run it (Win11). Saw this in output.log:

Cool to see more people using Panda3D. I just wish there was a little more to it then hopping around a heightmap shooting at aliens (and spaceships in level 2). The gun had a pretty cool design.

Does not work for me, trying to run "Martian Madness.exe".

There is a bug that even after the alien rover gets killed it keeps shooting and the radar also shows it as alive. Overall nice game!
speedlimit35
pretty cool 3d shooter but was hard to shoot and aim. The aliens look like crab bugs.
3D game, uhm, not much game play here, assets are not fitting at all, feels unbalanced.
would have putted beter ratings if everything is more balanced and finalized.
