Diary Entries
Day 1 - A new story.
A new story and a new title. The assets will be started from tomorrow.
The Current of Time' or 「ときのながれ」in Japanese is chosen as the name of the game.
Huge amount of actual image is blurted out to not leak spoilers for players.

Day 2 - Making Visual Assets
Art is an illusion.Made several assets for the game today. Made while thinking the mechanics of the game. Individually, they won't make much sense even if you try your best, but they will be part of a cool end product.
There were certainly distractions, but did end up making a decent amount of items.

Day 3 - More Assets and some Parallaxing
Sound can make unrealistic scenes feel real.Made more assets, including sounds.
In detail, created different actions of the character, a quick game logo and some decent soundtrack by sampling a literal faucet and some vocals.
Also in free time, created some attempts of parallaxing (a method to make backgrounds looks a little realistic).
Here are the two soundtracks:-
1. Nagure's Theme
2. Nagure's Boss Fight Theme
And a recording of parallaxing:- Parallax
Day 4
"Programs must be written for people to read, and only incidentally for machines to execute." - Harold AblesonSpent most of the day implementing the gameplay mechanics.
No specific camera-deadzone logic set-up alongside parallax (yet) but the current set-up does the job.
Also made some basic dialogue boxes.
For anyone wondering, the fonts I'm using are Disket Mono and Iceberg.
Day 5 - Resting
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.Just lazed around for today, so not much progress.
Did end up converting the separate scripts to functions that can be used in any order to create the main gameplay story.
Also created some questionable logic.

Day 5 - More backgrounds and Simple code logics.
"Either you run the day or the day runs you." - Jim RohnI know I said "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy," but the opposite is also true.
Seeing that the deadline is very close, I started putting together my not-so-close game mechanics and accidently made the functions so simple, that if it were a module, anyone could make a story game in like 5 mins.
I also hit writing 869 lines of code, but it'll probably be way lower once I complete it.
Also made several cool backgrounds for several dialogue, alongside a new boss and god (although he doesn't look like one) sprite.

Day 7 - Wrap up.
If end is well, all is well.Well, today turned out to be more hectic than I thought.
I added a very simple menu to the game so that people actually get time to prepare before the story.
I had to create a new soundtrack too, due to the fact that the original soundtrack was just too "noisy" (which was justified, since it was a synth made form a faucet.) Listen to it here.
I created two new sprites for adding depth to the story,
Also made it so that the keys are configurable through a file `keyconfig.json`
Created a README file and some other license files.
Finally, as of writing this, I'm uploading the final zip file as the submission.
This will probably be the last diary entry from me this PyWeek. While I did go with the "it's a feature, not a bug" mentality, it's still a good outcome.
Not uploading images as you'll probably see the game soon.
