Great job! Finally a perfectly fine game from you! Everything works quite well. It is a rather complex game and I'm impressed that you pulled it off in PyWeek. But all the complexity doesn't quite make it fun. Perhaps it's because almost all elements of the game are against the player (vortices, currents, monsters, rocks, etc), so I have nothing good to look forward to on the next level. And despite the complexity the challenge is mechanical, not logical. And for a mechanical challenge I would expect better controls — the 8-way rotation is too clumsy. I guess that's my explanation for why I didn't enjoy it more, but still, it's a fine game. |

A really creative concept, making a game about crossing the Acheron. Ties in very well with the theme, so I give you a 5/5 on Innovation. The artwork is very well done as well! The only real issue I had was that the keyboard controls seemed really unforgiving, since one misstep made you start the whole level over again: a bit tighter controls would have added to the Fun. I like that different levels feature different challenges, but 26 levels seems like a whole lot. I think it might have been better with half as many really well-crafted levels. |

Wow. This is one of the best games in the competition. An interesting game. Very much. |

The reason this game wasn't 5,5,5 was because of the annoying feel of the controls particularly the bounciness of the ship. |

Nice, and unusual gameplay. I liked that you had more than one thing to concentrate on simultaneously, so there were different possible strategies, for example: let the boat bounce back and forth while clearing the decks, or keep tapping left to spin the boat in a tight circle. Level 5 was REALLY hard. It's tricky to judge what angle will land you at the dock without bouncing you back into a whirlpool. If you get it wrong, there is no time or room to manoeuvre the boat back onto a safe course. |

Fun idea, nice sprites. Not sure how well fits the theme, and controls can be a little better. |

Great little game. I wished there were more sound effects so I could give you a higher production score. The concept is great and ties in well with the theme. |

Funny idea! I almost become cross-eyed trying to drive the ship and get out the souls with no money. |

I really wanted to like this game. The art and music is awesome and the concept is unique, but it's kind of frustrating. |

I like the way it encourages you to consider both sides of the screen at once. |

The music doesn't fit very well and I don't know how to complete Level 4, but nice game! |

It wasn't much fun switching between keyboard and mouse to steer/beat down skeletons. Some way to integrate the two mechanics better would maybe have improved it. |

Bad collision detection on the boat was annoying. I liked the dual-mode play though. |

Clever concept, although it didn't lend itself to great puzzles. Great work on your overall production values. Could have used some sound effects. |
