Quite fun :)

Crashed while loading lvl2 I presume. Other than that great graphics and music and some decent humor (albeit a bit old ;)). The game itself was pretty simple at least up until the part it crashed, but the string mechanic was nice. I assume in the end you can shoot like half the screen with your yoyo?

Fun and charming game. :) The music fits well with the game and the use of theme is good. I like the graphics and the silly hug theme too. I thought it was pretty neat that you added different moves, though I don't think they made much of a difference to gameplay. Anyway, fun, could use more levels. (Minor issue: takes too long to load a level, possibly due to pickle. The first few times I thought the game had crashed.)

When I was in grade school there was a kid at the bus stop that would whip a yo-yo at me and say "You wanna die?!". Brings back memories...

4 4 3

Made me want to play Double Dragon again...

4 4 4

Some slowdown on a MacBook (running tiger).

Love the old-school brawler. Good times. Game play was fairly rote.

3 3 3

Heh fun game. Controls took me a while to figure out, and when I had to continue I pressed space and it put me back to the main menu. I didn't go back after that.

3 3 2

Nice entry. All enemies in all games should say goodbye world.

3 4 3

Will you guys please stop hugging me so I can <i>fight</i>?

2 4 2

Nice graphics. Gameplay took a little getting used to --- couldn't work out how to hit enemies before I picked up the string upgrades. Started stuttering when the first victory screen came up and responsiveness became worse and worse after that, until my yoyo got stuck in some kind of loop and I gave up.

4 4 2

I love the music!

3 3 3

nicely done. reminds me of double dragon. easy. no much use for yoyo tricks.

3 4 3

I couldn't have more fun because of the yoyo-won't-shoot-bug and very long loading times. Looks very promising, though.

2 4 1

Funny graphics and well done fight game

Felt hastily put together (well, I guess it was pyweek!), but the hugging enemies and yoyo attacks were cool. Also seemed to get really slow later on in the game, and restarting doesn't fix it because you start at the beginning.

Fun!

great double dragon spoof. couldn't get it to trigger the end of the third level for some reason.

nice game, found the controls (like, firing the yoyo) a little hard to work with though for some reason

3 4 4

I liked the game idea but there were some bugs which made me sad :(

3 4 3

Pros:
Credible 2.5D world.
Polished.

Cons:
round characters are boring. ( I know, I know, they are fast :) )
a litle more action ( jumps, push some objetecs, whatever..)

3 3 3

Interesting use of theme. It turns a bit repetitive quickly, although the different levels
help. Also, most levels can be passed by just runnning through them and ignoring enemies

I had some weird issues with the game working ok, and later getting slowly (on the factory map).
When the game got slow, the yoyo also behaved strangely, getting in a loop and never going back.

Interesting to learn about different yoyo attacks. not obvious after the first time
(although I got some very weird yoyo behaviours using them)

Nice game, anyway. More enemies and it could be a really cool entry.

Fun game! Appropriately random humor, which was great. I loved all of the lolcat references. Yoyo felt fun to play with, and the explosions were very cool. I liked the multiple maps, even though they were repetitive backgrounds, I liked how you varied it up a bit with different baddies. I liked your cutscenes, and it was overall a fun game. Well done, keep up the great work!

Would load main menu but not start the game

I liked the Double Dragon references. It was a pretty fun game, the yoyo stuff was neat. Got boring after awhile, but hey, what can you do in a week?

3 3 2

it's ok. I like it. The gameplay needs more polishing.

3 3 1

Nice, although it froze after the guy says 'I don't need your hugs'.

Nice. Couldn't get past intro screen:

File "...pyglet/graphics/__init__.py", line 333, in unset_state_recursive
group.unset_state_recursive()
RuntimeError: maximum recursion depth exceeded

3 4 3

Nice graphics and sounds (they are weird but I like them). The gameplay is a bit boring.

1 4 3

Bizarre.

3 4 3

awesome.

3 3 2

:-) Funny.

2 5 2

Very nice looking, but only like three minutes of gameplay. It seemed like I'd be able to do some cool tricks with the yoyo, but I couldn't get anything to work, so the yoyo seemed pretty superfluous: it could just as easily have been punching.

4 4 4

Cool yoyo, nice sounds, maybe little to heavy for my computer :)
