use recaptcha to registration?

I have seen in last days, as the discussion section is filling of spam, I think we should put some control over the users registration to avoid bots. use something like recaptcha or the other control that exist on the internet.

Seems to be getting worse. Is it possible to deputize a few extra sets of eyes to delete the offending posts in the short term?

I will also look at enabling some users to remove spam.
