Nearly there

Oki im an beginner game developer, not just in python...and I'm nearly done.Is this a bad thing. Halfway through and finished? Any feedback is helpful as this is my first game. :D

That means that unlike most of us, you managed to keep your scope to reasonable levels from the beginning.

You can use the extra time to playtest and polish. For me, I just hope that the "game" I'm working on actually has something for the player to.

I may have the same "problem" than saluk has: I have "something", but it's not a game. And I'm not sure I can say "yet" :)
Yes polish the hell out of your game and let people test it. You might think it's well balanced but it might not be. Our code is pretty much finished for a playable version as well. Now we work on major story stuff and polishing. Every day spent not coding is a day you can use to test, polish and make it shine! You obviously picked a good project for a game coding contest.
