I hope it works for everybody. You might need pyglet, kytten and cocos2d if I didn't attach it properly. I'm quite pleased with it but it definitely needs more time.
You can zoom using your scroll wheel or equivalent and click and drag the play screen. Changing the velocity vector will affect your initial heading (the white line is the indicator of this). You can pause the game and change the thrust and/or lift values to direct the ship mid flight. Sorry it wasn't clear, I tried to explain it in the README, let me know if you need anything else explaining.
Thanks! That clears it up a bit. Then at least it's possible to always set the initial parameters to a fixed value to experiment with the effects of thrust and lift. I still don't think I could ever land the spaceship intentionally :). Can you land it?
Err...I've never actually tried it from the random start position, as I added that at the end. You can do it if you change the initial position much closer to the planet. Around the 1e7 mark is doable.
