Should have kept going...

Damn,

Stopped a couple of days ago deflated by very ordinary graphics draining my motivation. Some previous posts indicated that poor graphics weigh badly on scores so I was spending too much time on improving what wasn't any good.

Seeing some of the other entries so far, I can now see that my graphics were no worse than some of the others so far (no offense, you are either an artist or not.)

My idea needed nature based graphics - parrots and people. If I enter next time, I will try to stick to something that only needs easier, non nature based graphics. Like a rock, or a stick or poles or bricks or something like that.

I did get dirty rectangles going etc.

Might actually practice more to become better at Pyglet too. Some clearer documentation / more usable example stuff might help.

Looking back, it was a bit adventurous trying to make my first game as a competition entry.

And next time I wont build a veggie garden during the week I took off to dedicate to making a game. Doh. Procrastination, procrastination, procrastination... On the plus side, I should get some decent tomatoes going by Xmas time.
