Files Sizes and Game Rules
We are planning on using a persistent world which can be modified by multiple players. To achieve this, when game content is modified by a player, it will be uploaded to a server, then downloaded from the server by other players.
I think this breaks one of the pyweek rules about downloading content (in order to force get past a 20MB entry limit).
Are we still able to entertain this idea, or should I think about a different approach?

Depending on the theme, we definitely want some sort of persistence (spore inspired) between game sessions, and between players. All the infrastructure for this is already availble in FibraNet and the standard lib, so it shouldn't be a difficult thing to implement.
Im pretty sure we can complete this feature, unless the theme is very specific in its requirements.
Other than that, the only other feature we want is 'cool stuff.' :-)

The 20MB per entry thing is purely to keep things sane (not abuse the hosting server and not overly burden downloaders of the game).Neither of those restrictions should prevent the game content from being modified post-contest or for it to grow post-contest.
Just how much pre-planning are you doing...? :)
