Late Start

I got a somewhat late start this round, so I decided to avoid going to the site until my game was well underway. I didn't want to step on any toes with a game too similar to others.

Not surprisingly, though, my game sounds like it will be very similar to at least another one. I'm working on a simple top-down shooter to get aliens off my lawn (hence the title Aliens on My Lawn). Apparently, 0MGEntry (at least) is writing a very similar game, esp. based on the description! Woops!

Oh well, though. The game engine is just about done (only 2 days late by my schedule), and artwork, sound, and some user interface stuff still needs to be written. That's the easy part though, right? Maybe not...
