Gee, no pressure for next PyWeek
Yup... none what so ever for next PyWeek.... *rolls eyes*First of all, thank you all so much for your votes, comments and playing our game. ^_^ Apologies to those who found the game frustrating and for my messy handwriting. To those who said they got no sound, I'm guessing it's because you don't have AVbin installed or your speakers weren't turned on.
I am really shocked with how this game turned out (as well as the fact that we won X_x) I came up with the idea while on the tram after the theme had been announced and though to myself "nah that would never work" Kite Story was made up of lots of sugar high ideas that I still can not believe we put into the game, but you all seemed to have enjoyed it so I guess I'm not wasting my time and do have some talent for being a game designer.
A few things I'd like to point out;
Once again thank you to everyone and Richard. This was my second PyWeek and hopefully I'll be back for a 3rd.

Yeah I recognized that robot. The thing about this game was that, even though it was crazy simple, it had that addictive quality where you couldn't put it down until you went all the way through. On easy, there was just enough challenge to get some adrenaline flowing, but not enough challenge to ever frustrate you, so you are kept interested for a lot longer than if it were a bit easier or a bit harder. At least that's how it worked out for me. Plus, there was the whole "I wonder what I will collect next" element. And the ending was brilliant. Just goes to show that sometimes we all think a little too much when all it takes is a really well executed simple idea.
