Another WIP shot, showing snakes!

Illuminous Foliage

The future has come, and yards are bigger than ever. You are but a lonely kid in the yards of some of the most technologically advanced mad scientists the world has ever known. You must stop the out of control lawn mowers, guard bots, security trees, and other various obstacles by activating the sequence of disabling switches. But beware, the yard gnomes are always watching.

Potential Idea

My wife gave me the idea while I was talking to her about the theme yesterday. Do a simple game due to my lack of time this week, and make it a grab and avoid game. So you're a kid trying to get items out of a yard, and an old guy is constantly on your tracks. I'll start off simple, get it fleshed out, then work out more complex details.

Part of the issue is that I'm closing on my first house on Thursday, then Saturday & Sunday are pretty much taken up, so I really only have about 4 solid days of dev & production. I am guessing I will not get this finished, but hey at least I can try :) Also, all the other entries look like they are really coming together! I'm looking forward to trying everyone's games out.

Robotron style WIP Demo

Alright, I haven't spent the quality time I want to yet with this thing, but at least I have something fleshed out. Currently, I have character movement, grid restriction, little dumb AIs, and obstacles, but nothing is really rigged up to work yet. I am also probably going to change the style of this thing so its not such a blatant robotron style rip off :D The level grid cycling color thing will probably go first, as thats just sort of wasted cycles for some minor eye candy. I also might switch the pure black to something more appealing to the eye.
