The controls were quite difficult.

Simply couldn't finish the first level :/

Oh noes I suck at this!

It looks like it would be plenty fun if I could get the hang of it. The slimes are simply awesome. :)

Jumping was a bit buggy. I kept falling through platforms. The rest of the time I was overcompensating for the poor traction, or pressing the wrong action button.

Nice recreation of the arcade game feel. Suffers a bit from being not my sort of game, but I really like the look.

To hard at the beginning and movement controlls are not so nice

This game would have been a bit of fun if it hadn't been so buggy with falling though platforms and movement locking

loved the startup sequence

4 4 4

This indeed reminds me of something.

I really loved the 8-bit aesthetic and really wanted to love the game but I just couldn't get the hang of the controls -- I kept sliding around when I didn't want to and getting stuck with my feet in the floor and other annoyances.

Nice retro look and sound, but it's too hard for me. Control is too slippery-slidy. Player seems to fall through platforms sometimes.

4 3 2

Unoriginal and ugly but challenging and fun.

2 3 2

hmm

love the arcade look/feel. floaty graphics and slippy ground friction though. collision detection is a bit flakey as I seem to not jump high enough and fall through the floor. capturing enemies ability seems a bit fraught with danger as you can start capturing and you'll slide into a nearby enemy.

It looks great but the controls are a little difficult. I couldn't turn around as easily as you normally can in a platformer. Sometimes I would land so that I was standing on the bottom edge of a platform rather than the top edge. Anyway, there's wasn't much strategy to this. By far the best way to stay alive is to stand on the bottom and wait for the enemies to come to you. Something that incentivizes you to jump would be nice.

The retro look and feel works well, but the gameplay itself didn't really engage me that much.

4 4 4

reminds me on the good old days ;)

Nice little retro game. Pity about the collision detection glitches.

You should probably extract your colour key from the image rather than using a constant. PNGs have colour-correction parameters that can cause problems on systems that use them, so you can't trust that the pixel values are the same everywhere.

The insert coins thing and press start thing were cute. And so was the ROM and RAM check at the beginning.

This game reminds me alot of the original mario bros. I'm guessing that was your intended goal. The flashlight stealing mutation thing reminds me of Kirby Superstar where Kirby at one point gets the same flashlight ability.

The collisions are really buggy and sometimes when I jump up and come back down I go through the platform.

good one

4 4 3

good retro game. this game reminds me mario bros

3 4 3

Very well executed...except the diver's movement while interesting was often frustrating.

4 4 4

Sweet! A little bit to hard, unlimited continues would have been useful. Bad collision
detection on platform edges is a little frustrating. FINISHED IT!!! Took me around 50 of my
3000 lives. :p

4 3 2

Too hard! It wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't have to repeat level 1 all the time, but having to start from the beginning whenever I die 3 times is not fun :(

3 5 3

ROM OK, RAM OK, Insert Coin!

Ok it's a jump and run, increadibly hard to beat on the first level, what did I miss?

3 3 3

nice retro graphics!
