simple shooter, too many of this games in the universe ;-)

2 2 2

Cute game.

2 3 2

Very simple game.

2 2 4

no skellington?

2 2 2

Well... I think it's a bit flat.

2 2 3

Very fun idea, super stunt man battles UFOs.

3 2 4

Im not really sure what the enemies were supposed to be and I thought you made them a little bit hard to kill for the capabilities of a flying car. Pretty fun though.

4 3 4

The only major gripe I have is that the controls don't fit the playing field. The default movement should be on the diagonal, not up and down. I found this pretty hard, and can only make it to level3. The comments at the bottom of the screen are a nice touch, and the begining is pretty funny. More enemy variety would be nice also.

3 4 4

Nice intro, and the diagonal orientation is innovative, but I found it too hard to get past stage 1.

3 3 4

Nice twist for a shooter.

3 2 2

Seems simple enough.

3 3 3

Not a bad shooter.

4 4 3

Good job! Your game was lots of fun to play, the only problem was that I couldn't quit by pressing the windows X, I had to Ctrl-C from the command line. Very fun to play!

2 2 2

trying to exit the game didn't work for me.

Also, the effect when you hit the aliens seemed to convey "the enemy is invincible to this attack" - perhaps a small particle effect to indicate you were weakening the enemy.

2 3 3

Story idea is pretty cool. Gameplay is simple.

4 4 4

nice work. Graphics were good. A little esc to quit would have helped :) overall nice work

3 3 3

A pretty basic shooter game. I appreciate that you did something different by making it diagonal, but I think it ended up just being awkward since the playing field itself wasn't diagonal. Maybe if the window was larger it would had worked better. Oh, and what happened to that intro sequence in your first screenshot? :-(

2 3 2

Neat little diagonal shootemup

3 3 2

The game worked with no problems, except crashing after the last level. I would improve the graphic of the enemy and player bullets however, as they are hard to see.

3 3 3

Fun game! Simple, yet fun, and I enjoyed playing it. The controls were intuitive, and the car moved quickly enough for it to be fun. Powerups or some other such thing could have made the game more interesting, but even as such, I had fun for a while. I didn't have patience to make it through much more than the first level though -- perhaps it got more interesting, but I didn't put forth the effort to find out.

2 2 1

Not much fun to me. No idea about the game history.

2 2 2

add some music, more enemies, bigger screen.

2 4 2

You said most of it in "[23:46 carstunt] What next?".. One of the better games in the Production area. The explosions are nice.

3 3 2

I like shoot-'em-ups, and the "storyline" made me giggle a little, but there isn't enough going on to keep me playing - and the music is TERRIBLE!
Music brought the production score down, but adding cutscenes brought it up again.

2 2 2

no readme, no option to quit the game, etc.
the game itself is not too interesting too - just another simple platform shooter, with flying clouds in the background

2 3 3

I wish you could actually do stunts in the car. It felt like diagonal space invaders.

2 3 1

Your entry should of been more creative.

3 3 4

Nice game, but still needs some developement (Intro? Main Menu? More/Different Enemies?) and definitely more levels! ;)

4 2 2

This would be one of those simple-but-fun games with some more levels and enemies. Keep going! :)

2 3 3

One that that would have improved this game is to know what to do starting the moment you get into the game. I figured I would have to fire at the ships but I didn't know which key would do it.

The sound was awesome. You did a great job on the effects and the music.

The biggest problem I with the game was that it wasn't much fun to play. Dodging the bullets is very difficult and I ended up pretty much staying on the left hand side of the screen and just holding down the spacebar. It's impossible to dodge the bullets when the spaceships are shooting at you from up close. Some sort of warning when they are about to fire would make the game more fun and challenging.

The game definitely had a unique idea. Unique as in just plain strange, however. Why is the stuntman there? How is he staying up? Doesn't he have gravity? How can he move without thrusters? However, if you are going to go with this idea, maybe having an evasive manouver where he spins out of the way (car spin rather well) might work.

This is probably a "didn't have time to finish it" thing, but I never made it past the "learn how to fly" stage.

In spite of all the criticism I heaped on you, thanks for your contribution to Pyweek! Keep it up!

2 2 3

Haha, I love the premise/storyline behind this. Very original.

3 3 3

Pretty good, but the aliens aren't much fun to play with. Looks like a good start, though. Thanks!

I like the graphics, I *especially* like the zany concept and zany dialogs. Keep the zany plot in your next game! I even think the music is cool, in that it's there (most games don't have it).

Unfortunately, I have found no way to quit the game. The obvious 'escape' didn't work. If a start menu and a high score function were there I'd have rated production higher.

Unfortunately also the game play is not very innovative at all. Granted the stunt car goes diagonally, but that isn't enough. A new space shooter should at least have a few interesting twists in the way it works. Perhaps they came later on, but I didn't get beyond stage 2 in my couple of tries.

Project layout doesn't follow the skellington at all. I've not selected to do a disqualification for this, but I was close. Putting your code in a separate directory and providing a run_game.py isn't that difficult and it's good practice.

The premise of the game with the flying car and all is great, but I would've just liked to see a
little more polish around the edges. First of all, the game lacks documentation - there isn't
even a simple README file! At least the final version tells you the controls, and finding
main.py isn't that hard, but using the skellington wouldn't have hurt. The graphics could've
also been easily improved: A simple gradient on the sky and different colors for the bullets of
the UFO's and the car, and the game would've looked very much better. The playing area also
seems a bit small for the current gameplay. I do love the dialogue though, and the music fits
perfectly. :)

3 3 2

fun little game, nothing new to explore after a couple of minutes though

5 4 4

A diagonal scroller! Loved the concept, in love with the stuntsman.

3 3 4

Flying car shooting aliens....Not bad!!!
Although I would have liked to see the car with more chrome and fins :).

2 2 2

Kinda fun. But not much to it.

2 2 2

No readme, not bundled in skellington, no way to close the game "nicely".
Otherwise a decent concept. Kind of fun but nothing exceptional. Music is pretty nice :)

3 3 3

Addictive, simple but interesting idea. It crashed on level 3 or 4.

Cool beans, nice simple concept, inescapable plot sequences(?)

2 2 3

Crazy. Completely nuts.

3 2 1

Kinda tiring game...Not too much innovation...And it crashed...Hmm well it's still a cool game to make in a week...

3 3 2

Interesting to have a diagonal-shooter as opposed to a side-scroller :D

2 3 3

Sort of fun, a bit frustrating

2 2 2

Where's the README? I couldn't quit the game by any conventional means, escape key or clicking the close button on the window, that was annoying. Other than that, It was ok. Some documentation would have been nice, that's what skellington is there to help you with.
